Week of January 21st - 24th

Here is what is happening this week:
Reading: Please be sure to read these each night. They review the sound/blend that was taught that day.
Spelling: High Frequency List #3 enclosed.
Math: We have started Topic 8 – we are learning place value with tens and ones. Please be sure to work on the homework each night and return it the following day.
YPP: We have dropped to 92 green dots – our goal right now is to get back up to 100 before we make a new class goal.
Science: We will be learning how to sort and classify items over the next week or two.
Social Studies: We will be learning about our community, school community and neighborhoods. We will be starting our Prevention Dimensions lessons. It is state-wide, that helps children recognize their feelings and emotions. It promotes friendship and boosts self-esteem. A paper will come home to explain what we have learned each time we have a lesson on this.

Thank you, and have a good week!
