Point of View Comics

For the past couple of weeks we have been talking and learning about Point of View. Today the students drew their very own comics with the character's point of view changing. They loved it!! Here are just a few of my favorites...

Elapsed Time

Here is the "z" or "zoom" strategy for helping your student with elapsed time.

Some kids seemed to really like this way, others preferred to draw their own clock and move the hands themselves and count as they go. Whichever method your child likes best is the method he/she should use. This is a very difficult concept but we can do it :)

KUED Writers & Illustrators Contest

Few things capture a child’s imagination like a good book.  We would like to invite you to join KUED as we encourage children here in Utah to build critical literacy skills by creating their own stories and to taking part in the KUED KIDS Writers & Illustrators Contest, in partnership with Natural History Museum. The Contest encourages children in grades K-6 throughout Utah to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original pieces.
