Fire Drill

Hi parents,

We were not scheduled for a fire drill today, however we did evacuate due to the alarm going off. A maintenance crew was working in the building and the alarm was set off - no smoke. No fire. When our school arm goes off unplanned, it triggers the city alarm for the fire department. We are all okay and are excited about our 100th day of school today!

Story Elements

We have been thoroughly discussing elements in a story. Today in reading workshops, we read a story, "Miss Nelson Has a Field Day". Following our fun story, (getting us excited about the SuperBowl), we made a story element flipbook. The kids did an awesome job on these and I LOVED how they turned out!!

Frog Cycle: Class Pet - FRED!!

We learned the frog cycle and got a class pet named Fred. 

Unfortunately, he is hiding in the corner so we can't see him in the picture.
